Not sure if we need any of them, but for what it’s worth, there are movies (dUH) that dare to pepper their dialogue with these LOL. In doing so, they of course immediately limit their audience as it factors into the movie’s rating. But can you imagine movies such as “Goodfellas” (1990) or “Pulp Fiction” (1994) without them?
